Comedian Norm MacDonald Passed Away

Comedy is pretty subjective, not everybody you know will understand why you like your favorite comedian’s jokes. These days, major Tonight show hosts like Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, David Letterman, among others including fellow comedians owe to themselves to one particular individual. Who was a big inspiration for their jokes; Norm Macdonald. Today, he has sadly passed away after battling cancer.

He might seem underrated, but understand this. That was his plan. That’s how he kept it. A lot of other SNL comedians, including Adam Sandler, were all close to him. His jokes were always peculiar, and he would stop most his jokes after the setup and story was done. Telling the story, was kind of his punchline. He expected the audience to be smart enough to understand that.

His humors always comes off as deprecating(sometimes self-deprecating), dry, and a bit sardonic with sharp commentary slapped on them. His famous bits were from SNL’s Update segments. This is where he repeatedly made OJ Simpson jokes by repeatedly telling the audience in various creative ways and also inserting them into other segments that OJ did kill his wife and her boyfriend. Making fun of the former major league football star.
