Mim and Mehzabien Have Rejected A Bollywood Film Because It “Misrepresents Bangladesh”

Bidya Sinha Mim is a renowned model and actress in Dhallywood nowadays. The popular actress has reportedly rejected down an offer from Bollywood! Mim stated in this regard that she was offered a film by Vishal Bharadwaj, a well-known Bollywood producer. Who is responsible for films like ‘Maqbool,’ ‘Haider,’ ‘Omkara,’ and ‘Kaminey?’ She received a mail just before Eid last year. She received an offer for a role in the film ‘Khufia’ in the mail. Mim was thrilled to get the offer. Everything was awaiting completion. However, after hearing the film’s plot a few days later, she decided she no longer wanted to be a part of it. That is why the actress has declined.’ After the rejection, Mehazabien Chowdhury was their only option.

‘After reading the narrative, I realized it was a political subject, and Bangladesh was not adequately represented in the story,’ she said. The narrative written without a thorough understanding of Bangladeshi politics and other factors. Under the circumstances, engaging in such deception would be unethical. I also discussed it with a few of my acquaintances. They both have the same viewpoint. Then I politely declined to participate in the film.’

It was the first time I had an opportunity to act in a Bollywood film, but I was unable to accept it. There may be a chance for me in the future with a better narrative than this.

According to rumors, Mehazabien Chowdhury, a renowned small-screen actress. She had the opportunity to act as the same part in July and turned it down as well. “I was approach by the casting director through Whatsapp. They were searching for a Bangladeshi actor in particular. I was overjoyed at first. But after reading the screenplay, I had to decline. In an interview, she remarked, “I didn’t want to start my film career with such a divisive picture that misrepresents our political past.”

Vishal Bhardwaj is most known for his Shakespeare trilogy, which includes “Maqbool,” “Omkara,” and “Haidar.” He has won seven National Film Awards in four different categories.

Huge respect from Bangladesh for doing this. As they say, if you don’t respect your country then no one will.
