A 14-year-old boy from a wealthy family was recently given the keys to his father’s Toyota Corolla, and decided to take it for a spin around his neighborhood. The boy, who had no prior driving experience, quickly realized that driving a 10,00,000 BDT car isn’t as easy as it looks in the movies.
As soon as he hit the gas pedal, the car lurched forward and he lost control, careening into a tree and knocking down a fence. But the damage didn’t stop there. The teen, in a panic, hit the gas again, and the car spun out of control and crashed into a nearby pool, completely destroying the pool deck and leaving the car partially submerged in the water.
To make matters worse, the boy had accidentally left the car in reverse, and the wheels of the Toyota Corolla kept spinning, causing the car to spin around in circles in the pool and creating a whirlpool that sucked in nearby lawn furniture and pool toys.
When emergency services arrived on the scene, they found the boy sitting on the edge of the pool, completely drenched and in a state of shock. When asked what happened, he simply replied, “I wanted to show off for my friends.”
The owner of the Toyota, who was on a business trip at the time, was shocked to find out what had happened to his prized possession. He has since stated that he will be taking away his son’s driving privileges until he is old enough to properly handle such a powerful car.
The neighborhood residents are still cleaning up the aftermath of the Toyota Corolla incident, but many are finding humor in the absurdity of the situation. One neighbor quipped, “I’ve lived here for 20 years and never had a tornado hit my yard, but this kid managed to do more damage in 5 minutes than Mother Nature ever could
