Tyga, who is 5 feet 7 inches tall and is 31 years old, has had a successful music career. However, he had an advantage in that he began at an early age. Tyga, also known as Michael Stevenson, was born on November 19, 1989, in California, to Vietnamese-Jamaican parents and has now converted to Muslim from unspecified Christian.
On paper, Tyga appears to be fairly religious. He claimed to be a Christian of some kind, although it’s unclear whose religion he belongs to. “Thank You God Always” is an abbreviation for his stage name. In his raps, he occasionally incorporates biblical terms and makes references to his faith.
But was this praying all fake? I think not! Rapper Tyga has realized the true essence of Islam, according to him, and has converted to Muslim by his choice.
Mufti Menk Helped Rapper Tyga Turn Muslim
Now, who does the credit go to for Tyga’s conversion to Muslim? It’s Mufti Menk.
Dr. Mufti Ismail Menk is a world-renowned Islamic scholar who was born and raised in Zimbabwe. He earned a Doctorate in Social Guidance from Aldersgate University after studying Shariah in Madinah.
Mufti Menk’s work has received international acclaim, and he has been designated one of “The Top 500 Most Influential Muslims in the World” every year since 2010. Across all of his social media sites, he has millions of followers.
Mufti Menk used to visit Tyga in jail once or twice a week when he was in prison. Mufti Menk became Tyga’s counselor after that. Menk used to pay him visits and offer his religious knowledge, and because he was tired of all the jail chats, he was OK with hearing Mufti Menk. At the very least, it wasn’t as dull as prison discussions.
After counseling him for 3 months, Tyga has finally has understood the meaning of life as per his claim. And now? Tyga has officially announced he has converted Muslims despite his tattoos and all the haram kinds of stuff.
