It’s been a rough year, very rough. After the holiday release of the new PlayStation last year, things have not been quite the same since. Major stock issues, scalpers upping the price like crazy, demands are skyrocketing, even retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, Gamestop are sort of hiking up the price due to the obscene demand. Pretty much the same goes for Japan, Sony’s home country.
A Japanese woman decides to take advantage of one avid gamer’s desire to get that sweet PlayStation goodies. After posting an ad of a PlayStation 5, the customer saw the ad and decided to make the purchase immediately. The hot item was a cash on delivery order, which the customer had to pay for before checking the merchandise.
Though soon as he got it, he found out instead that the box inside consisted of two liter water bottles to add weight to the scheme. Soon as he found this out, he tried calling the woman but to no avail does she answer. He later contacted the authorities about this.
The authorities, of course, caught her. She later testified that she didn’t know what was inside the box before she sold it. What will happen next of course is the police doing a further investigation into the matter. While the hopeless gamer cries in remorse of losing cash and not getting his PlayStation 5 anytime soon. Shouldn’t buy from untrustworthy sources.
